Violets

A new squirrel has come to live in my sewing room, a violet block!

I've seen this flower on other blogs. I followed a link back to Menopausal Melon which led to another link which had the actual instructions on the Block Lotto website.

I decided to make just one block for now.

The instructions list several different sizes of blocks. I decided to make a block with 5" squares since I have a basket of 5" squares.

She's a cutie! Someday more blocks will join her.

Ooooh I like that block! Thanks for the link, I feel a squirrel lurking outside my room now. ;) How big did your block end up, with the 5-inch squares?
Thanks for sharing with To Do Tuesday!

My block measures 9.25 right now but I made a mistake and cut my white squares at 2.5" instead of 2.75". I may follow through and cut them all the smaller size so this one isn't left out. I thought these flowers would make a very cute quilt for a girl.

Cute. I used to belong to Block Lotto and have had the pattern for a long time and have made lots of different ones in different sizes. It's a fun block. I love it. This year I have actually been making them out of crumbs for the RSC!

Very cute block. I might have to add it to my list of RSC projects. Lots of scrappy potential there. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

I use to belong to Block Lotto and made of few of those then. It's such a cute block I want to make more. Love the fabric you used for yours.
