I used a lot of blue solids in the blue string X quilt but I had enough fabric left to make 6 Dancing Star blocks. Some of the blues were dark so you have to really look at the block to see the fabric.
The solid fabrics seem to have a glow to them when you sew them with black fabric.

I think using black or another really dark color really makes blocks pop in color these look great
