I've arranged the blocks for my easy breezy quilt. There is sashing going in between the blocks but this just gives you an idea of what the plan is.
It seems like all year I've been sewing on projects that have to be made, quilts for the grandchildren, charity quilts, challenge quilt, a quilt for our daughter and of course, masks. I've finally got all the obligations taken care of and now I can sew what I want to.
One of the challenges I had set for myself this year was to reduce the amount of strips in the 2" box. The fabric strips for these blocks have come from the box but I can't tell I've even made a dent in the accumulation of strips! Of course there is an autumn easy breezy quilt started but that project is on hold for now. Blues comes first on my list.

I love this! The yellows really add to the quilt. Isn't it amazing that you can make a whole quilt or more and not see a dent in this scraps?! I'm still making masks but I've been able to get in a little fun sewing every so often. ~Jeanne

I love the lighter yellow and blue diagonals showing in the opposite direction. I wouldn't have thought to put a "secondary pattern" in this. Currently working on a quilt (garlic knots) that is all 2" strips--kinda wish I had a 2" strip stash! Good for you for working through it!
Your Easy Breezy blocks are going to make a lovely quilt in shades of blues and yellows! Howxmany dud you make for this one?
This is goin to be pretty. I have maybe enough Easy Breezy blocks for 2 placemats! I should have made the bigger size! I’ll keep an eye out to see this one done!

I got carried away piecing the blocks. I pieced 165 but only needed 143. This way I was able to switch blocks in aand out.
Garlic knots is a pretty design. I don't have to worry about running out of 2 strips anytime soon. Thanks for commenting.
You must have made the small size! I can live with 6" finished blocks. I got started sewing these blocks and just couldn't stop.
This looks gorgeous, but there are an awful lot of pieces for a quilt called "easy breezy!" Ah, yes, I know what you mean about Mandated Sewing with deadlines versus Free Choice sewing that is open ended. I look forward to seeing your Easy Breezy with the sashing, and to the new project(s) you'll start once you've worked your way through what needs to be finished first!
Anything I can chain stitch is so much easier than piecing blocks for a quilt that are all different. Happy stitching!
