Last week was a busy week at my home and block 9 of Elegant Garden has many small pieces to be appliqued so I don't have a finished block to show you today.
It's amazing what a little color can do for a block!
You can easily see the markings on the background fabric of all the work to be done yet. See those tiny circles in the corners? Those are applique while the stem and leaves are embroidered.
Hopefully next Sunday I'll show you a finished block!

Beautiful block! Do you know how long a block would take you to make?
It just depends on how many pieces are in a block. This is also small applique pieces so it takes longer. Normally I can do a block in a week but the blocks have become more 'complicated' applique now.
Light and color are the essence of life.

What a pretty block. I look forward to seeing it with all the rest of its parts. My Christmas cactii haven't bloomed in years. I am not an attentive caregiver I guess. I miss the pretty blooms. Yours are gorgeous.
