No hand work has been accomplished since I finished the quilting on Rhapsody in Blue but I did take pictures of quilt gardens.
The first garden is at Grandma's Pantry in Wakarusa, their design is called A Burst of Joy. If you click on the posted information sign, you can see which flowers were planted where.
The problem with the quilt gardens is they should be raised on more of slant so you can really see the design!
Here's a picture take at the side of the flowerbed.
Next we go to the 'downtown' Wakarusa quilt garden.
Here's a picture of one corner of the garden.
The last time I posted about this quilt garden, I showed you a flowerbed under construction. They've made progress but it's not completed yet.
The area around the garden is rather torn up, you definitely have to watch your step! I don't have a picture of the information sign, there was a hole in front of it and I didn't feel like trying to straddle it.
I also noticed on the other side of the large sign there are two more flowerbeds like this one with the brickwork completed around them. I also saw a partial brickwork sidewalk. This area used to be a parking lot, it's not anymore. The large sign behind the flowerbed says Quilt Garden Patio, this is definitely going to be much prettier than the parking lot.
Here is a link to the Quilt Gardens Along the Heritage Trail website. I had planned to take pictures of other quilt gardens for this post but just didn't get it done. I drove past several of them on my way to here and there but didn't have the time to stop. July has been very busy!

Beautiful garden quilts! Maybe a raised viewing platform is needed! The patio looks like it is going to be pretty. Gail at the cozy quilter
The garden quilt idea is such a nice concept. They do look good. Sarah quiltingbythesea
Very pretty quilt gardens. Looking forward to seeing the one under construction completed.
What a great idea for the gardens! Love it!
Those quilt gardens are so pretty. How wonderful that they are changing a parking lot into a pretty patio with more flowers.
The gardens are so lovely. I am sure it takes a lot of hard work and love to create these beauties. Thank you for sharing them with us.
How beautiful! I can't imagine the planning and measuring that must go into creating those quilt gardens. It would be nice to drift by overhead on a hot air balloon, I think.
Those quilt gardens are gorgeous! Thank you for taking the time to share the growth progress of them.
Beautiful gardens, such a lovely idea. Maybe you need to take a step ladder with you? That or invest in a droneš¤£xx
I love that people take the time to plan and organize flower beds to reflect quilt blocks! They're as fun as barn quilts. ;) Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.
Thank you so much for sharing this Gretchen!!! :)
Gorgeous quilt gardens!
Beautiful gardens. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
I love the idea of turning traditional quilt patterns into living flower gardens, especially when the plants are carefully chosen to create the different colors and shapes. I came across https://bets-24.net/ while looking for quilting and garden inspiration and found some other creative ways these two hobbies can come together. “A Burst of Joy” sounds like a perfect name for such a colorful display. Seeing the gardens in person along the Heritage Trail must be even more impressive than viewing them in photos.
These quilt gardens are such a charming idea! Seeing familiar quilt patterns translated into flowers must be completely different from looking at them on fabric, especially when you can walk around and catch the design from different angles. I agree that a little more slope would make the patterns much easier to appreciate from ground level.
The “A Burst of Joy” garden sounds especially fitting for a flower display—it’s a lovely reminder that quilting inspiration can show up in the most unexpected places. And after enjoying the gardens, a little browsing at bullibet casinò
makes for a nice change of scenery.
