The first four blocks in Section 9 of Stonefields have been appliqued. The blocks are called Finale but they're not the last blocks to be appliqued. Like I've said, I'm not the one who has named these blocks.
These sweet little flowers stitched fast. The Stonefield blocks finish at 6" and were designed by Susan Smith.

I always admire your background fabrics. Glad you get to show off your chain stitch too.
Very pretty! I agree with Kathy S., you picked some beautiful backgrounds for those simple blocks.
I was going to say what the others said about your background fabric. It shows up your flowers beautifully!
Lovely little flowers, simple and elegant. These four Finale blocks are beautiful. Thank you for sharing and linking up.
Love these flowers and the backgrounds you chose!
Thank you to everyone about the comments on the background fabrics. I selected fabrics that would display the flowers, leaves and vines nicely.
Gorgeous blocks!
I love journeying with you on these gorgeous quilts you produce!
You have the best background fabrics in your blocks!

I'm joining in with everyone else - your backgrounds are genius!
They're all pretty. Wouldn't you like to ask about the name selections? I know I always have a reason for the names of quilts/blocks, the designer must as well. Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.
Absolutely outstanding and so pretty and those backgrounds are very special

Before I scrolled down your post, I was thinking "these flowers are so sweet looking..." and then that's exactly what you also called them, LOL!! Glad this is not actually the "Finale" as it has been fun to follow your journey on this project and I am happy that there will be some more!
Beautiful. I love all the different backgrounds you are using, Gretchen. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great weekend.
Maybe she named them "finale" because they remind her of the end of an opera when the audience throws single stem flowers onto the stage? I have never seen this happen in real life, but pretty sure that is how it worked when Tom conducted the orchestra in Tom & Jerry cartoons, so it must be "a thing." Hah! Lovely appliqué as usual.
