While at retreat, I finished the applique on Elegant Garden Block 3 and that happened Sunday morning.
Elegant Garden is an older quilt designed by Edyta Sitar from Laundry Basket Quilts. The fabrics I'm using are from my civil war fabric tub and I'm determined not to buy any new fabric for this project.Linking to Kathys Slow Stitching Sunday, Stitching Stuff, Oh Scrap, Handmade Monday, Sew & Tell, Craftastic Monday, Design Wall Monday, Monday Musings, To Do Tuesday

This is a really lovely block you've appliqued Gretchen--nice work--;))) the fabrics are so perfect for it;)) Hugs, Julierose
Love the fabrics, looks like you were quite productive at your retreat.
Beautiful block :-)
Deep green and pink is a wonderful color combination. Very pretty!
Lovely appliqued block, Gretchen. I love that you are determined to use what you have!
Beautiful block, love it!
That is a pretty block! I love those greens and pink together.
I had used a red fabric first but it just didn't work. I removed it then appliqued the pink. It definitely was the best choice.
That is a very pretty block.
I love seeing your wonderful applique skills.
This is a lovely block. As always, fabulous applique. I'm sure you have all the pretty fabrics for this quilt in your stash.
Such a lovely block Gretchen. You always inspire me. Have a wonderful week.
With the use of civil war era fabrics, this block has a sentimental and nostalgic vibe about it. You don't have to BUY fabric if you can just receive some as a gift :-)
That is an elegant block!
Wonderful applique! I know how you enjoy it and you produce such wonderful designs and blocks!
Oh, and I have some of the background fabric. How amusing!
beautiful job on the block,it's always a good feeling to have a finish
