Slow Stitching Embroidery

Since Esther's Garden is finished I need a different hand work project. I pulled out the Darlene Zimmerman embroidery panel and started the next block.

The poppies in my flowerbed never last long enough in the spring, so I'm enjoying embroidering these poppies now.

I am also slowly prepping an EPP project but slowly is the key here.

Actually all I've done is press the fabrics, I'll get around to the fussy cutting sometime.

And I still haven't marked the Pastor's Attic quilt for the hand quilting. Plenty of slow work to keep me busy during these dog days of summer.

I love picking the colors of floss when I embroider! Haven't done in it in awhile but a great summer project for sure!

Oh Gretchen, your poppies look great. It makes me long to dig out some similar stitching and do my own. I'm inspired!!

I just spent an hour rereading some of your blog back in 2014 Gretchen, what a lovely hour it was better than reading a quilt magazine, visiting retreats and show and tells and seeing a DJ grow. A lovely early morning cuppa and a good blog what more can you ask for Hugs Glenda

Love the poppies! Your handwork project will be beautiful when it is finished, as the poppies already are!
