The 7 flimsies will be donated to the MCC Comforter Bash. They'll be knotted and bound by volunteers in November then sent to various locations where someone needs some comfort. They ask that the quilts be at least 60" by 80". It is ok if the quilt top is larger than that size but they don't want them any smaller.
This is a framed 4 patch.
Two String X tops have been pieced. String X is a free pattern from Bonnie Hunter's website.
The white blurry spots on the quilt are snowflakes.
A fun quilt to make was this jumbo granny square flimsy which was a fun and easy quilt to make.
I also made five crib quilts which I quilted myself. They have been delivered to the daycare at my church.
Sarah lists several agencies as donation sites for the H2H challenge. They are all good charities and need donations but I donate to charities around my home.

Donating close to home is another good way to participate in Hands2 Help, Gretchen. Beautiful contributions!!
I always enjoy seeing your beautiful quilts Gretchen!
So many quilts, and all really nice. I also like to donate in my local area sometimes too.
That is so sweet of you to make all of those charity quilts. They will certainly be loved by everyone who receives one. Quilts are one gift that I am convinced people enjoy and value even if they don't give it the care that we think they should, it will always be appreciated in their hearts.
Wonderful finishes! Love them all!
This is georgeous! So many beautiful quilts, and it's amazing to sew and donate. I'm sure the recipients will be very happy.
A kind and generous gift of tops and quilts. The world will be a better place , quilts is the warm hugs we can gift in the world. They are all special.
I especially love the three with left over blocks. Sew much more interesting to look at.
Wow 13 quilts, how fantastic, what a way to use up fabric! I too choose to donate locally, the price of postage is just to high.
I agree, postage does cost. There are so many local charities in my area that can use quilts. There are several that accept quilt tops too. Some are made into comforters and some are quilted then sold in fundraising quilt auctions. Happy stitching!
I still have blocks to be sewn into more comforter tops but that will happen in the winter.
Donating to local charities is a great way to serve those in need right in your own community and a good way to save on postage, too! I remember seeing many of these quilts as they were completed, Gretchen, but it's nice to see them all in one post. Thanks for being SEW generous for Hands2Help!
Beautiful quilts that will warm many hearts, Gretchen! Thanks for being a part of Hands2Help 2021!
