More Stonefield blocks have been completed. Here are blocks 35 and 36, their name is Imogen's Sunburst.
It was nice not to have applique the center points, the circle covers them.
Block 37 is titled Date Night. There was supposed to be some random circle appliqued onto the side of the flower but I didn't like it, so I eliminated it.
And block 32 which was supposed to be the same design as blocks 30 & 31. Those were nice stars but I thought 2 blocks were enough. This flower is much cuter.
This completes the 3rd section of Stonefields. Here are all of my blocks so far. The display wall is filling up, I hope it's large enough to hold all of the blocks.
Stonefields is designed by Susan Smith. Just a word of warning, this pattern does NOT contain detailed instructions. It is NOT for a beginning quilter.
Chris and Rebecca Grace are also working on the Stonefields quilt, each of us using the method that works best for ourselves.
I was in Wakarusa last week and took pictures of the quilt gardens. This will probably be the last pictures of them this summer.
First the garden in 'downtown' Waky.
I don't remember if I had shown you the design of the garden, this is it!
And the garden at Grandma's Pantry.
I thought taking a side picture instead of straight on might make it easier to see the design in the flowers.

Those quilt gardens are in their full glory. I love seeing your blocks for this quilt. You are amassing a wonderful collection! Gail at the Cozy quilter
I knew you had been working on Stonefields but had no idea you had so many blocks done! Those gardens are so pretty, thank you for sharing them.
Your fine stitches are an inspiration to all wannabe needle-turn applique enthusiasts. Love Date Night, especially the lopsided version of it. Stonefields is such a labor of love.
The flower blocks are so cute. It's neat to see them beside each other on the design wall. It shows how using value can really make the block look different.
I love your flower blocks!
Lovely stitching! Its always nice to see the flower garden quilts too.
Dear Gretchen, Your Stonefields blocks are beautiful and the appliqué is exquisite!
You are sure making lots of progress on those Stonefields blocks! It is great that you are making them as you like. If a circle addition doesn't add to the block in the way you like, why put it in? I love how you are making this project yours!
Wow, that imogen block is a stunner, especially in your fabric selections. It is fun watching this one grow for all 3 of you.
Imogen's Starburst may just be one of my favorites thus far- although they are all spectacular! I am in awe of the beautiful quilt gardens. I cannot imagine all of the work and planning it goes into making these gorgeous gardens. I always look forward to seeing them. Have a blessed day.
Each block is better than the last. Together they are magnificent.
