More Comforter Binding

Elaine dropped off seven comforters for me to bind. I used this tutorial for binding.

Sometimes the comforters are rather bland but these comforters are very pretty!

Fern pieced these tops then passed them along to Elaine who then took them to be knotted at Prairie Street Church. The bindings have been turned, stitched and delivered to the Depot to be sent with the next shipment to wherever they're sent.

Isn't it interesting how we all have our different niche in the process?

I love that your guild parses out the job of making charity quilts so each person can contribute in the way they like best. You are so right--these are very pretty! You did a great job binding them. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Yes these are pretty. A lot of blue. That method of binding was what I used way back in the day. I think I might try it again.

It is wonderful that we quilters can do a part to create lovely gifts for comfort and warmth. Thank you for your part. Great job!

Love how everyone is working together on this project. Despite beginning my quilting journey in 1985 with Eleanor Burns's Log Cabin in Day, I don't think I have learned her method for turning the back to the front and mitering the corners. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.

very colorful and fun - that second from the last one tells me it came from the 70s haha - those colors were so popular then and seem to be making a come back

Bright and pretty comforters, you are very well organized, and it's great that everyone has found their own way of working together. Well done for doing the binding for all of them. Thank you for sharing, and linking up!
