After reaching the center of the quilt from the east side, I started over on the west side.
I've been asked if I have a problem with bulk or puckers in the center from doing this. No, never.
The outside border is completely quilted all around the quilt.

Wow! your "start" on the second half is a great jump on a finish !!! I have pondered if this was an option in the past with the right frame.. now I know it can work! Thanks Gretchen.. as always you open my eyes :)

ReplyDeleteIs there a reason you work from both sides? I don't think I could do that using my hoop frame.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt isn't bad but when I quilt a large quilt, the front rail gets so thick with the rolled up quilt. Other than that, I don't know why I do this. This is how I've always quilted with the old sticks and stands, habit I guess.
