Since this quilt was already on my to be made list, I decided to participate. Here is my small finished quilt. The double 9 patch block and the shoofly blocks finish at 4-1/2". She measures 46" by 51". The borders are my own design. I didn't want plain white borders.
And the fabric roll.

OmiGosh finished amazingly... I wish I could be as neat as you are doing a swirl design Gretchen... great job! The quilt piecing is little and looks perfect and I love the outer border you fashioned... glad your son counted the pieces!! lol
Have a wonderful day with this one finished ... now for a baby to enjoy it! lol Kathi
OMIGOSH! That is gorgeous. It looks like it was so much fun!
This was a fun challenge to make but I don't want to make a 2nd one. Those pieces are tiny!
I'm saving this quilt for a very special baby, perhaps a future great-grandchild. For now I enjoy looking and touching and thinking I really did this! Happy stitching!
This quilt really is Omigosh! It is adorable and your border is perfect for it as is the spiral quilting. This is definitely a winner. ~Jeanne
Beautiful finish.
Lovely quilt! I'm glad you showed it rolled up as well as spread out - it looks beautiful!
I love it and the border suits it perfectly
Aw, it's just beautiful! Ha, I love to figure out the number of pieces on my quilts. Not sure I've topped that though! Wow!
Hi Gretchen! Wow, that is a LOT of pieces whether it's the correct number or not. I love the look of a spiral . . . and no one is going to check it with a compass! That makes me giggle at the thought. Your border looks just perfect for this design! Thanks so much for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne
Stunning!!
Oh, my gosh! for sure. It's a beautiful quilt but one I would never be brave enough to tackle. Good for you finishing it up.
Omigosh is so beautiful, Gretchen! Congratulations on your finish!
That's really nice. Congrats on the finish.
Wow, so much work!! A beautiful finish, well done
What a wonderful job you made of this complex quilt. I have to say I love the look of your spiral and I'm taking the liberty of using this idea when I quilt Afternoon Delight. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and processes. I am an avid fan😁
I saw someone had spiral quilted their quilt years ago and loved the way it looked. Your Afternoon Delight will look lovely spiral quilted. Happy stitching!
Oh my word, Gretchen -- those are 4 1/2" blocks?! This is so, so beautiful. The colors, the precision of the piecing, and the borders are perfect; can't imagine any other way now that I've seen yours. Congratulations!!
Baby quilt?!! With that many pieces?! Wow! Beautiful!!! Who's it going to?
Wow! 4.5" blocks? Great looking quilt!
The colors are so striking together Gretchen. A very special quilt. You made the entire quilt! Hugs
Hi Gretchen, what an amazing quilt. I love it - the colours, the tiny pieces and that great border. Your FMQ is lovely - I know first hand how tricky those spirals can me :-) Thanks so much for linking up with Free Motion Mavericks. Take care.
Magnificent! A true masterpiece. Love the speak quilting. You must be so proud! Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
I'm going to save this for a very future great grandchild, very future. By that time I'll be ready to downsize my quilt pile.
So many little pieces. It's a beautiful quilt.
Such a wonderful quilt! The circular quilting is beautiful, also.
Hi Gretchen,I remembered you had made an omigosh quilt so came hunting as I knew I'd not taken a closer look and also not commented on it:-) I just love your version - mine is so scrappy that it's lovely to see one made in a more controlled way. I really like your border too and also how you have quilted it. Mine will be a bigger version (I think) but I can totally understand you stopping at this size!
