Today I'm showing you a different project I sewed at the Jane Stickle Retreat several weeks ago.
The 2014 Row By Row quilt from Yoder Department Store makes a great gift. The row comes in the 4 seasons and this is the Summer Row.
I pieced the top at the retreat and quilted it with a blue variegated thread since I've been home. I do the quilting before I iron on the buggies which are then top stitched with black thread.
The wall hanging measure 8 1/2" by 30 1/2".

Nicely done!
Very nice. We used to live near an Amish area. This represents their culture very well.
Gosh, what an effective row - it looks great!
Very pretty. I like the blues and black.
Gorgeous, so effective. Love it.
I love the blues! Such a neat wall hanging! The black buggies really make the by the beautiful mixture of blues stand out! Great job!
Love it!!
I really like this! Blues are my favorite colors to start with, and this evokes a feeling for me of heading home at the end of a long, fun summer day outdoors at a huge picnic with lots of friends.
Oh Gretchen how lovely, I took note that you quilted the piece before adding the stunning black silhouette. Great blues it actually looks like an early cold morning to me , love it. Cheers Glenda
I love it! This runner is dear to my heart because I have been back East to visit the Amish communities with their horses and buggies. My dad has been going every year for many years. He has several wagons/buggies and a few teams of horses to pull them.
