Eight lovely green stars. These cuties will finish at 4".
Fifteen 4-patch blocks. They will finish at 8".
Last month I had shown several ways to lay out these blocks. If I understood some of the comments correctly, some people thought I had all the blocks I needed.
No, these blocks will be for a king sized quilt. I'm going to need lots of them.

Looking very pretty so far - will be great to see it finished too.
If the 4-patch block is 8" finished, that means the green squares are tiny - 1" finished. And you are making a king size quilt. You require a lot of blocks and even more patience. I am sure it will be a stunning quilt.
Pretty stars! Your 4 patch blocks will make for a pretty quilt!
I love those blocks! So pretty! I love your color placement! Thank you for sharing!
The green stars are four inch finished? Wow, and that means 2 x 1 inch flying geese. That's dedication!
When I'm piecing the stars, I cut the white part of the flying geese 1 3/4" by 2". This leaves me plenty to trim off so I can square them up easily. There is a LOT of trimming on these little stars.
Thank you. I must admit, green isn't my favorite color and these aren't my favorite blocks but green will add a nice touch to the finished quilt.
Yes, it is going to take a lot of blocks. It's nice to be making the blocks monthly and not all at one time. The star blocks aren't for the same quilt. I'm not sure how big she will be. The original pattern was 42". I am making it slightly larger but haven't done the math yet. I'm sure I'll have stars leftover but that's ok.
Thanks, I can't wait to see it finished either! The stars and 4-patch blocks are for 2 separate projects.
Very cute stars indeed!
Wow, tiny pieces here! Is that a 4-patch in a 4-patch in a 4-patch?!
I love the tiny stars. The four patch blocks is going to make an awesome quilt.
The stars are very pretty...but those four patch blocks...wow!!
I guess they are, I just laid them out and have been sewing them. I didn't really stop to look at the pattern closely.
Thank you. If I make 15 every month I should have enough by the end of the year.
Red or green, your blocks are lovely. Thanks for sharing.
I was just looking out my window and thinking how nice it is to see some green again, and then read your post! Green is always beautiful! I also like making a few blocks each month and having all of them done at the end of the year. Makes it seem doable!
I love those little stars!
I LOVE the four-patches!
Every spring I think I need to make a green quilt just because I I love the green of spring.
These 4-patches are such a simple design but they'll be so awesome in a quilt. I really need to figure how many blocks I need.
Lovely blocks for RSC 2017 - especially those stars.
These blocks are wonderful!!
The green is so soothing! It's going to be a beautiful quilt!
Cute stars and fun 4-patches!
You quilt is going to be beautiful. I am assuming that you have a huge stash of small green fabrics. You have some tiny blocks there! Nice work.
Great blocks!
Almost ready to get to the Studio and play.
Two pretty projects. Live the stars.
