I've quilted a lot this week and I was able to finish the top section of this row.
All of the blocks are now quilted and the borders are remaining.
I took a close up of one of the blocks so you can see the quilting easier.
This is the first time I've used a design like this on top of pieced block. This is going to happen more often.
I've rolled and you can see I've unattached the quilt top from the top leader and pinned it onto the batting/backing. Progress is happening! I so enjoy quilting on this quilt, she stitches so nicely.
I guess I really shouldn't say these borders will be finished when these flower vines are finished because . . . there is applique for the corners of the borders!
I'm home from the retreat now, stuff is put away and I'm ready to show you a little of what I work on this weekend.
And I finished this little circle that I had started sometime but I don't remember when.
Bless My Garden Wall Quilt is from Gail Pan's book, Patchwork Loves Embroidery.
Later this week, I'll show you more of what I worked on.

Your quilted block is so lovely...thanks for the close up photo. I like Gail's patterns too.
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe of your quilting. How do you keep those tiny stitches when you are crossing all those seam allowances. Whenever I've tried, my stitches are so uneven.
ReplyDeleteI like the close up - using the template is neat! Nice embroidery project! The Spring quilt will be so light and airy and really make it seem like Spring. Anxious to see what else you accomplished!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is perfect and like Barbara said, how do you keep so neat across all the seams! Aren't Gail's designs so adorable and what a great take along project. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteI like your variety of projects...and your quilting looks great!
