Hand quilting Spring Fever was a priority this week. The sashing between the 2nd and 3rd row was completed along with the bottom halves of row 3 blocks.
I've rolled and I'm ready to start on the top part of the row 3 blocks. If you look at the top of the quilt, you can see I've rolled far enough that the top of the quilt is showing, real progress!
I need to applique two more flowers on one of the borders for the Pastor's Attic Quilt, then that part is completed. It won't take long to applique the circles on the center of them.
In my last post I showed pictures of the results of the crazy weather we've had the last several weeks. This picture is one I took from upstairs looking down at the pasture. The flooding is easier to see.
March in northern Indiana is snow one day then warm temperatures and rain the next.

Wow, you are really close to finishing your quilting. It is so beautiful. I really like the borders you've been working on for Pastor's Attic. We have had several days of on and off rain here on Long Island with temps going from the 40s to the 60s. It is pouring rain here today, but no flooding. I hope your home stays dry.
ReplyDeleteSo exciting that you are reaching the top of the quilt! ENjoy your stitching today!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt definitely makes me think of spring. (Happy days!)
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is ready for some spring.
DeleteWe are looking forward to Spring here too. Your quilt reminds me that it is not too far off! You will probably have this quilt finished by the time Spring arrives.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid it will still be winter here when I finish this quilt but it will be going on the couch to bring some spring time into the house!
DeleteLovely quilting. I was hoping to get the leaders replaced on my frame, but we had a small and nasty ice storm here in eastern Kansas and I never got to the hardware store. So I can commiserate with the awful weather we've been having in the Midwest - tag end of winter seems to be dragging on.
ReplyDeleteIce storms are terrible! I'm planning on another month of winter yet. I remember one time we drove 2 hours to my nephew's wedding which was in the middle of April and we drove through a snowstorm!
DeleteYou'll soon have Pastor's Attic in the quilting frame!
ReplyDeleteAfter I get these borders finished, I need to applique the 4 corner blocks for the border. I thought about not adding anything in the corners but decided the quilt needs it. Too often I try to hurry up a project then later wish I had spent the time to add the feature that makes it more special.
DeleteI do have a small crib quilt to go in the frame after Spring Fever is finished.
flooding here too, love your quilting and a look at the farm
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! I just love the calm blues and greens. You are right to be excited at nearing the finish! Our weather here in southern Ohio is wet-wet-wet! I am not affected by flooding, but within an hour of us, several communities are facing very serious flood conditions.
ReplyDeleteWhat progress you are making on your Cabin Fever. Mine seriously needs to advance! Especially because baby arrived last week.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a Spring Quilt and you will really enjoy it - so close to the end! YEA for your! Keep on that applique, it will really make the Pastor's Attic a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty and your quilting looks beautiful on it.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely!!!! What a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is amazing and a beautiful hand quilting.:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your inspiration this week at the Show and Tell Monday / Bambi
ReplyDeleteYou are almost there!! It really is very pretty, and must be nice colors to work with when it's dreary outide. Sounds like we have similar March weather - it can be warm and sunny here, or straight-up blizzarding. I am actually hoping we get a lot of snow this spring to make up for a drought winter. I worry about our Ponderosas being so dry during fire season when have drouhts!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the quilting progress. That is awesome!
ReplyDeleteDefinite progress is being made. I can't imagine hand quilting and seeing so much done in a month! UGH on the flooding.
