There are a lot of pictures to show you today since I posted two Sundays about the Sauder Quilt Show.
The center blocks in Hearts & Wreaths quilt so much faster than the outside border did. I've made it across the blocks, not quite to the center of the row.
Here are the pictures from the right side of the quilt to the left side.

I've quilted across the center of the quilt!
Here are those pictures again from the right side to the left side.
I've reached another milestone while quilting. This spool of thread is empty, it held 500 yards of thread!
This a link to my first post about Hearts & Wreaths way back in August 2021. The pattern came from Quiltmania magazine issue 138. As we all know, Quiltmania is bankrupt and their website is supposedly undergoing revision.Linking to Kathys Slow Stitching Sunday, Stitching Stuff, Oh Scrap, Handmade Monday, Sew & Tell, Craftastic Monday, Design Wall Monday, Monday Musings, To Do Tuesday
Reading that first post of the beginnings of Hearts and Wreaths, I'm so glad you decided to make more than four blocks of this gorgeous quilt, Gretchen. It's interesting that you didn't quite know how the applique would go. When I look at Hearts and Wreaths all those leaves and hearts are a triumph in applique! That light at the end of your quilting tunnel is beginning to shine brighter now.
ReplyDeleteSo many different fabrics in this quilt! I am in awe of your quilting and appliqué skills!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of thread! You've made such good progress on Hearts and Wreaths.
ReplyDeleteYour wreaths are so scrappily pretty! Wow on the thread, that is incredible. How do you hand quilt - do you have one of those big frames? What is that thread holder called? Did someone make it for you? (Sorry for all the questions!)
ReplyDeleteI get your posts via Feedly, since I added you to my "Blogs I Follow".
What fabulous quilting! I can hardly wait to see the finished quilt.
ReplyDeleteI follow you on feedly - it updates if the blog updates I've never had trouble with it. Your stitching is so neat and so is your applique
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how much thread goes into a quilt! A spool sure represents a ton of stitches! It was great to see your progress on this beautiful quilt!
