It's chilly outside, perfect sewing weather! The 16 checkerboard blocks needed for Blueberry Pie have been pieced. Sorry the color isn't good in this picture. The background is light gray.
The next step is to add sashing and cornerstones. The color is correct in this picture. I must have moved over a bit when I took this picture.
The Writer's Block pattern is found in the Red, White, and Sometimes Blue book which was published in 2011 by That Patchwork Place. Kelly Corbridge is the designer of this quilt which I have remained Blueberry pie. The background fabric is Whisper Weave Cloud by Benartex.

I love this quilt, Gretchen! You are going to have yet another heirloom on your hands, I predict! Is it a candidate for hand quilting? Sure would look pretty with crosshatch stitches!
ReplyDeleteWow! That’s going to be wonderful ! Thanks for the mention of the gray fabric’s name! Grays are hard to find and match!
ReplyDeleteLovely mixture of beautiful blues on blueberry pie blocks. 💙
ReplyDeleteLooking good Gretchen! Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove it already, Gretchen. Love the name too. What a wonderful collection of blues too. Our blueberries are starting to get ripe here. My grandson is always running up on the hill to check the berries and of course snatch a few for himself. Looking forward to following your progress on this beauty. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be lovely - I love your blues. Would make a great scrappy quilt too. xx
ReplyDeleteAwesome classic quilt, Gretchen!!! Looking good. Are you strip piecing, or sewing tiny square by tiny square?
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty quilt and I love the name!
ReplyDeleteGosh that's lovely! The combination of blue and grey is so classic. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
