Another swath across Welsh Beauty has been quilted. It seems like the quilting goes faster since I'm stitching closer toward to the end. There is still a long way to go though.
Here are pictures from left to right. Of course Blogger decided to mix them up and put the center photos first. Oh well.
I decided I'd take pictures of all the whole cloth quilts and show them to you.
Some of the quilts are hand quilted, some are machine quilted. All of them are lovely. The information label lists the size of the quilt and the type of quilting.
The ribbon picture shows the variegated yellow color the best.
Hey Gretchen... I love your progress on getting another swath of your wholecloth done.. you should enter it next year in this quilt show because it far outdoes any you shared... just my 2 cents!

I'll consider entering next year. I haven't entered for several years, first of all covid but since they've resumed the show, the quilts needed to be delivered in the last day of my retreat. I don't think I'd be safe to drive 4 hours round trip when I'm sleep deprived. But next year, the retreat is earlier in April so I will be alert enough to make the drive. I was surprised there weren't more large whole cloth quilts on display, there are usually several of them that are hand quilted.

ReplyDeleteLovely hand stitching. The tension of the quilt in the frame/hoop is admirable. I, also, attended the Sauder Quilt Show. It’s such a wonderful venue to display quilts and to hear a piano playing while viewing. Last week, I posted a few photos from the show. Best of luck as you near the finish.

Man, your quilting is stunning ... I look forward to seeing the whole finish! Love the photos you've shared. I've got a UFO that's a whole cloth quilt. I pick it up and and again. I'm hand-quilting it, so it's relatively easy to pick up and put down! :)
