Green Easy Breezy Blocks

I made 13 green easy breezy blocks that will finish at 8".

Seven 16 patch blocks were also pieced.

The strips for these projects all came from the 2.5" strip box which is very slowly going down.

  1. 2.5 is a great size. It leads to lots of quick and easy blocks. Lovely greens this week.

  2. I am here just thinking what's the size of your 2,5" strip box, Greetchen. (LOL) So many beautiful green blocks you made this week. I like how you are making your Eazy Breezy blocks with the main color in the rectangles. Hugs

    1. When our children were very young, table grapes were a real treat, they just cost too much in the store in the winter. But every year in August, our local fruit market would sell them by the box. I would buy a box and we could enjoy all the green seedless grapes we wanted while that box lasted. It was a lot of grapes but they never went to waste. The boxes were made from wood and heavy duty cardboard. They've last 35+ years and are still in good shape. These are the boxes I keep my strips in.

  5. Did you get your Easy Breezy blocks to measure 8 inches by upping the piece sizes to 2.5? I've been making mine at 6 inches finished, but 8 would have been a better size! Yours are pretty in green!

    1. Yes, the strips I'm using are cut at 2.5". The smaller blocks are 'cuter' but it takes a whole lot more strips to make a quilt.

  9. Good luck on emptying out the 2.5 inch scrap bin! I didn't think it possible but I finally emptied mine last year and I kind of miss it!

    1. I don't have to necessarily empty the box, just decrease the amount of strips in so they're not exploding out of the box!
