Another quilt has been started for the RSC called Dancing Stars designed by Amy Ellis at Amy's Creative Side. The block is foundation paper-pieced, perfect for a scrappy RSC quilt!
The first block.
I'm using fabrics left from other projects. The block is 6" finished.Linking to Scrap Happy Saturday
I like that block and nice that it is paper pieced too! Thanks for sharing this... I like 6" finished blocks :) Kathi
ReplyDeleteThis will be a cute quilt! I looked at the web site! You love the PP so this one is right up your ally. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern. Such a fun way to use up all the leftovers.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is SEW pretty, Gretchen! Thanks for the pattern link.
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat block! Looks like you can use all kinds of fun scraps to make a whole quilt's worth.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful block! Dancing Stars is a great pattern for the RSC. In fact, my first ever RSC quilt used that pattern: https://quiltsandcostumes.blogspot.com/2015/05/bloggers-quilt-festival-dancing-stars.html
ReplyDeleteHave fun making yours!
Your quilt is beautiful! I love the black background better than the light gray I'm using. Hum . . . I might need to rethink the background fabric for my blocks. And I like how you used a lighter color to compliment the darker fabric, again something to think about.
DeleteThat's such a pretty block it will be nice to see the other stars twinkle when you stitch them. Are you just staring this now, to get ready for 2021 RSC?
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to try out the block and see what I thought. It pieced up fast and easy, just like I like. I thought it would be a fun addition to my RSC repertoire.
DeleteSuch a pretty block! It will be a fun one to watch this year.
ReplyDeleteOh! That's a really pretty block - and will be such a pretty quilt! (madly scratching notes to myself...)
