Dancing Stars, Another RSC Project

Another quilt has been started for the RSC called Dancing Stars designed by Amy Ellis at Amy's Creative Side. The block is foundation paper-pieced, perfect for a scrappy RSC quilt!

The first block.

I'm using fabrics left from other projects. The block is 6" finished.

  8. Beautiful block! Dancing Stars is a great pattern for the RSC. In fact, my first ever RSC quilt used that pattern: https://quiltsandcostumes.blogspot.com/2015/05/bloggers-quilt-festival-dancing-stars.html
    Have fun making yours!

    1. Your quilt is beautiful! I love the black background better than the light gray I'm using. Hum . . . I might need to rethink the background fabric for my blocks. And I like how you used a lighter color to compliment the darker fabric, again something to think about.

  9. That's such a pretty block it will be nice to see the other stars twinkle when you stitch them. Are you just staring this now, to get ready for 2021 RSC?

    1. I just wanted to try out the block and see what I thought. It pieced up fast and easy, just like I like. I thought it would be a fun addition to my RSC repertoire.
