Red Easy Breezy Blocks

I've decided to add a 3rd project to the RSC, easy breezy blocks! Easy breezy is Bonnie Hunter's leader/ender project for this year. I did some figuring and modified the pattern for 8" finished blocks using 2-1/2" strips. I ended up making 12 blocks.

These blocks and the future blocks will end up being used for charity quilts.

  1. Love the red with yellow combination! An 8 inch block sounds like a great idea!

  2. Red and yellow is a pretty combination. Will you be using yellow squares with all the other colours too?

    1. I'm planning on using the yellow squares with other colors. I have a bunch of yellow pieces to be used up.

  6. These are cute blocks aren't they. I've also got some easy peasy blocks cut out, so far I've just been stitching the middle four patches together. And I've also decided to go with 2 1/2 inch strips, suits me better than the narrower strips.

  7. I really like your red blocks of Easy Breazy... I am glad you have some 2 1/2" strips already. I keep all sizes by color but am wondering if general scraps should be further subdivided into strips and strings etc. ... can you tell I am having fabric fondling withdrawals already??!!! lol Kathi
