Rainbow Scrap Challenge

The teal 4-patch blocks were sewn before I left for Arizona.

I paired these blocks with January's purple blocks and played with the layouts.
First the blocks are place in straight rows but vertically.
Second layout - I don't know what you call this, maybe mini barn raising?
And the final design - Barn Raising.

 I like them all.
The Star Dance blocks were pieced this week, 8 of them. Aren't they cute? They will finish at 4".

    Lots of pretty blocks. I love the star dance blocks. I think I need to make some since star blocks are my favorites.

    yes it does look like a barn raising design from log cabins. I really like it - it really creates interest

    I love those stars, too! Especially at that size - I'm always a sucker for small blocks.

    All of these blocks are so refreshing. Hard to make the decision on the favourite layout, but maybe you are not finished!

      No, I have a lot more blocks to make. The 4-patch blocks finish at 8". I'm making a king size quilt. I need to figure up how many I need for a barn raising set.

    It's always fun to make a block with so many layout options.
    I'm glad you told me the size of your Star Dance blocks. I didn't realize they are so small. They are cute...I love small blocks.

    Very beautiful, and I love the combination of blue and purple. I am always a fan of barn raising layouts, and it looks fantastic in this case.

      I like the barn raising lay out the best too. I guess I need to do the math and figure out how many blocks I'll need to make a king sized quilt.
