First of all I need to give Sandra and several other commenters a huge thank you! Here's a great big quilty hug for noticing I had a section of block 9 placed incorrectly in my March post 😱! I took it apart and corrected it, thank you!!!!
The March block, block 10, has been pieced.
I admit this block may not be quite correct. The HST's have 2 different background fabrics. I forgot about that when I sewed the block together. It's not a problem for me as long as the rest of the pieces are in the right places. I'm not going to redo it.
And with the sashing added.
The April block has also been pieced, the block looked more complicated than it actually was.
Just one more block then the flimsy will be ready for the sashing and quilting.

I had to go back and look at the March block. Your other commenters are certainly more observant than I am! The blocks are very pretty, and I really love that last block with the cross. It's going to be a lovely quilt.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shout out. I'm not sure but is the last block in this post have one row in the opposite direction? It doesn't match the other 3 sides??
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sandra. It's the top row's middle section that got flipped (much like March's block!)
ReplyDeleteThis post answered an oft-asked (mentally, by me) question: does the maker want to know if a mistake is spotted, or will I sound snarky to bring it up? Thank you for your public "thank you"!
Carolyn
I definitely want to know because I can change it now. Once it's quilted, it just too late. I can't believe I messed up another block! I'm ready for this quilt to be finished.
DeleteI suppose the flipped section could more correctly be defined as in the sashing? At any rate, it's the tan rectangle with white triangles in two corners. (Previous description, deleted by me, was incorrect. Need. More. Coffee.)
ReplyDeleteI, too, went back to look -- a simple correction, thank goodness.
