I've quilted across another section of Hearts & Wreaths. Here are the photos in whatever direction Blogger decides to place them.
This is a link to my first post about Hearts & Wreaths way back in August 2021. The pattern is found in Quiltmania magazine, issue 138. If you want the pattern, you'll have to find someone who has the magazines. They're no longer available online since Quiltmania no longer has a website.
This picture was taken several weeks ago and the bleeding hearts are no longer blooming. I enjoy these little flowers!
The hostas are growing. This flowerbed looks much nicer this year than last year. These plants were all transplanted in August 2022, not a good time for transplanting. I brought them over from the farmhouse.
The flowers are certainly thriving. More quilting on Hearts and Wreaths finished. She's looking as lovely as ever.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous quilt and so are the bleeding hearts!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on all the progress. You continue to just motor along with the quilting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilting progress as usual. I love bleeding hearts. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI won't be surprised if Amazon won't have some back issues of Quiltmania but haven't looked - I'm still mad they didn't refund subscribers to their magazine - some lost a lot of money - I'm glad mine was at least half way through the year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching as usual! I am growing my first bleeding hearts, don't have flowers yet, just leaves.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to see how great your "Hearts and Wreaths" quilt turns out. All the beautiful fabrics and your lovely hand quilting.
ReplyDeleteI adore this quilt, Gretchen. It is so much fun to look at the variety of fabrics in the quilt. Your Bleeding Hearts look amazing. I wish you a lovely day of quilting. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLoving the progress on Hearts and Wreaths. Your flowers and hostas are lovely. I have one lone hosta, and it needs transplanting into a shadier area. I may get that done later this week when we have some rain. Enjoy your holiday!
ReplyDeleteYour plants are all doing well. I have 3 hostas along my front porch that looked kind of sad earlier this spring, but now are getting nice and full again.
ReplyDeleteYou have done a beautiful job on this quilt, as usual with your beautiful/perfect hand quilting.
ReplyDeleteI need to send you the 10 I have saved in the back ground for hand quilting. Of course I still have 11 quilts to bind by hand….. But that will be this winter for sure!
I might have developed a green thumb but since 1980 have lived in the Country and here in South Texas flowers do not grow well in our climate - at least not in my lifetime. LOL. Hugs
Beautiful quilt and beautiful garden.
ReplyDeleteWish my flower beds looked that nice! Native grasses have taken over in spite of the bark I had put in last year. We are both getting too old to bend and weed. Last year 3 helpers took care of it for me.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt, by the way.
