The left side block and borders of blue Stars Around the Garden have been quilted.
I rolled, look at the center, I can see the top of the center! Progress is being made. Sometimes it just seems like I am swimming in place and not going anywhere but I have been.
I rolled and quilted the right side border and block. Next will be finishing the quilting in the applique center!
Last week I was asked about the quilting design I'm quilting in the center background. Here are links to this design in two sizes, 1.75" triangle and the 3" triangle. I like this design for the background, it's a welcome change from crosshatching or diamonds.
I took our grandson to get a haircut. We went a little early so he could play at the playground. Where we live, we have many people who utilize horse and buggy as their way of transportation. Their children also like to play at the playground. I took this picture of our grandson standing next to the trash bin which is located next to the hitching rack. The shovel is even provided by the parks department.

I LOVE your progress on your quilt... alll your donation quilts are awesome on that post too... but your grandson stole the show as the cutie on these 2 posts! I think it is amazing that the parks department near your park even include a shovel ... is there a compost pile for that stuff that is picked up???
ReplyDeleteI am glad y'all got to enjoy a park too <3 Kathi
They're supposed to throw the manure into the trash box. There is a heavy duty trash bag in there. This little village is a safe place, no one steals the shovel, only in Wakarusa.
DeleteYour quilt is beautiful. Lovely picture of your grandson, he's just a bit taller than the shovel! 😁
ReplyDeleteHow sweet your little grandson is, Gretchen. Now that's a pretty big shovel. Sometimes it can seem we don't get very far with our quilting, but then we look at it and realise just how much progress we have achieved. Love that blue floral print. It is a perfect fit with your beautiful applique flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely. Now there is a sign that I will never see in my neck of the woods. Your grandson is adorable.
