Another narrow border on blue Stars Around the Garden has been quilted. After I roll, I'll start quilting the center applique section. It seems all at once I'm making faster progress!
The applique has disappeared into the bottom roll.
I didn't take more pictures of the cable quilting in the blue border, it all looks alike!

ReplyDeleteGreat progress, exciting to see the appliqué disappearing into the frame roll. Your feathers and cables are so pretty together, I never get tired of watching it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up today 🥰
As usual, I love your quilting.
ReplyDeleteIt must be quite exciting when you roll the quilt and another row of quilting appears? Such beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI am loving watching this quilt come to life under your fingertips! Thanks for sharing your photos this week :) Your yellow blocks for RSC look great too as do your leaves you showed earlier in the week.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday friend :D Kathi

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting! :) Pat
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Is that all freehand quilting?
ReplyDeleteThe quilting lines are marked on the quilt before I put the quilt into the frame. I used a blue marker on the white fabric and a white chalk marker on the darker fabric.
DeleteI love that you used contrast thread color on the white background. it looks very pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting!
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful. What kind of frame do you use?
ReplyDeleteI use a Grace hand quilting frame but I don't believe it is available anymore. Hinterberg does hand quilting frames available. My fame has 4 rollers.
DeleteIt is so much fun to see your progress on this piece, Gretchen. You have inspired me to work more on my Easter quilt each day. Though I do not feel I am making progress, when I step back I realize that I am. Thank you so much for inspiring me.
ReplyDeleteI really like your thread color choices here. What thread brand do you prefer for hand quilting?
ReplyDeleteThe blue thread is #12 variegated Sulky cotton thread. The regular quilting thread is YLI brand, white. I buy it at Yoder Department Store in Shipshewana, Indiana.
DeleteI love zooming in on your hand quilting photos to admire those neat, even stitches! Beautiful!
