Making Progress Quilting Blue Stars

Another narrow border on blue Stars Around the Garden has been quilted. After I roll, I'll start quilting the center applique section. It seems all at once I'm making faster progress!

The applique has disappeared into the bottom roll.

I didn't take more pictures of the cable quilting in the blue border, it all looks alike!

    1. The quilting lines are marked on the quilt before I put the quilt into the frame. I used a blue marker on the white fabric and a white chalk marker on the darker fabric.

    1. I use a Grace hand quilting frame but I don't believe it is available anymore. Hinterberg does hand quilting frames available. My fame has 4 rollers.

  15. It is so much fun to see your progress on this piece, Gretchen. You have inspired me to work more on my Easter quilt each day. Though I do not feel I am making progress, when I step back I realize that I am. Thank you so much for inspiring me.

  16. I really like your thread color choices here. What thread brand do you prefer for hand quilting?

    1. The blue thread is #12 variegated Sulky cotton thread. The regular quilting thread is YLI brand, white. I buy it at Yoder Department Store in Shipshewana, Indiana.
