The block sections have all been pieced for Climbing Jacob's Ladder wedding quilt. Four sections make one block. My quilt is larger than the pattern. Each section is 12.5" so the block is 24" finished. The blocks will be set 3 by 4 blocks which should make the center 72" by 96" if I've done my math correctly. I'm not a perfect sewist so my center probably won't be that exact size but it will be close enough.
I've arranged sections on the floor but haven't sewn them into blocks. This isn't the final arrangement but I wanted to see how the quilt was looking and thought perhaps you would too. I didn't have room to lay out all the sections. It's going to be impossible not have the same fabrics touch each other but I can live with that.
This is supposed to be a neutral quilt but I don't know if it really is. Here is a link to the pattern.

Gorgeous! I think the colors are pretty neutral - I think she'll be very happy with it!

It is going to be a really handsome quilt. I like to see quilts that are more gender neutral. It always seems so easy to make one that would be more feminine. It is both handsome and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and definitely neutral.
ReplyDeleteI think it is pretty neutral - a nice looking quilt could be for either sex
ReplyDeleteI agree with Karen: It's pretty neutral. And it's going to be one big and beautiful quilt -- good luck as you finish up the piecing!
ReplyDeleteOh I think this is beautiful - and would totally be a neutral to me - its really quite stunning!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. This will look fantastic when it's all together.
ReplyDeleteHi Gretchen!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a neutral quilt!!! I really really like it!
Happy Quilting! :-)
Looking good!!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty neutral to me, Gretchen. You've done a fabulous job using value to maintain the dramatic impact of the piecing design despite very little variation in colors. This is going to be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous to me! I think it fits the “neutral “ bill! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is going to be incredible! I know there is applique coming. I love it just like it is (well... once it's been pieced!)
ReplyDeleteLove it, just as it is!
