The blocks for Stars Around the Garden are all pieced. The last time I posted about these blocks, I had said there were 3 more to piece, wrong! There were 5 more blocks. This quilt has a total of 14 pieced blocks, not 12.
Here are the last of the blocks.
Twelve of the blocks on my display wall.
They haven't been trimmed, I'll do that this week.
These blocks were made with a fat quarter bundle and some other fabrics I pulled from my stash.
This quilt is at a standstill until the applique on the center medallion is finished. That's ok because I have to decide how to alter the pattern to work with the fabrics I have. I have fabrics left from the quarters and a whole jelly roll. I think I know what I want to do, I just need to figure out how to do it.

I love the vintage vibe of these fabrics, looking forward to seeing the applique portion too.

ReplyDeleteI loved this post and your blocks that you are making... I have been working steadfast on the Turkeys... I thought this week I might write a mid week post... but I think that will need a bit of heads up to my followers and maybe a cool giveaway too... I am reorganizing my room thanks to a found buffet turned cutting table and storage <3 And the part of the closet I though I was loosing and cleaned out... well I get to reclaim that space and have it shelved as I like now! lol God is good girl :D Keep up the great sewing too ! Can't wait for Sunday to see if this cool weather has given you time to take the most awesome pics of your little hand stitches on the triangle lovely... see you then! kathi
