The two Stonefield blocks today are called the Princess & the Pea.
The stars are EPP'd then appliqued onto the background fabric. After that, the circles were added.
Both blocks together.
Stonefields is designed by Susan Smith.
I just realized that I made a mistake and I've got 2 posts today for handwork! Oh well, enjoy my blocks! Here is a link to Stonefields, Section 10 in case you missed it.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! Your piecing is so accurate.
ReplyDeleteHi Gretchen, those are lovely blocks. I just found Rebecca's post last May about the Stonefield quilt. I didn't realise that it was so big, intricate and small :-)
ReplyDeleteA sweet name for a sweet design. Your blocks are gorgeous, Gretchen.
ReplyDeleteOh and these are just so gorgeous too! xx
ReplyDeleteHow cute!! The yellow circles totally change the block from very traditional to kind of whimsical.
ReplyDelete4 blocks left now?? Very exciting, Gretchen!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful little blocks and your workmanship is excellent! Those are tiny little diamonds, and they look great.
ReplyDeleteNow this one is what I would expect to see in a "Stonefields" block! Love the combo of EPP and applique. Two posts on handwork is not a bad thing --- the more the merrier!
ReplyDeleteCute and fun blocks! I love the small circles, and your precise sewing. Well done! Thank you for sharing and linking up.
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun. They remind me of Mardi Gras except in blue! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great week.
