Elegant Garden, Block 23

Block 23 is finished. This block seems so bright and cheery with the pinks and ovals of yellow.

Just one more block to applique then they'll all be completed!

Elegant Garden is designed by Edyta Sitar.

  8. Very pretty block. As fun as it is to get to the last block, I always feel just a bit sad too since the fun is almost over.

  9. Lovely. I wish I had the patience for hand applique but I know I don't. I look forward to seeing the next and last.

  14. Another beautiful block finished, and did I read that correctly-- you only have ONE block left? Are you feeling sad that you're almost finished with this quilt? Because the perfect solution to that sadness is to get out your Stonefields pattern... Last night I read through the "Month One" instructions and ordered my background fabric. By the time it shows up in my mailbox in a week or two, I'll bet you'll have all the blocks done for Elegant Garden and you'll be ready to start Stonefields. You know how slow I am; you could easily do Stonefields with me and still have plenty of time for everything else you want to work on right now. Chris wants to start hers, too. Peer pressure! ;-)

    1. I did have another applique project in mind to do first but I'll pull Stonefields and see what fabrics I want to use. The blocks aren't large, it would be a good take along project. First though, I need to applique 4 blocks to finish an embroidery quilt. I need 16 blocks, there are only 12 embroidered. And I waned to prepTree of Life which will be a long term applique project but it will be too large to leave home.
