One Monthly Goal - Blue Churn-Dash Flimsy

My One Monthly Goal has been a success this month. The blue churn-dash quilt is a flimsy.

She's hanging on the side of my quilting frame and measures 95" by 104".

The square in a square border was challenging for me since I didn't have a pattern. I had to figure it out myself!

A close up of a corner.

I'm very pleased with myself, I've met my goal with a whole week to spare.

I love your square in a square border Gretchen, the triangle across the corners is a great idea. It's so refreshing to see a 2 colour churn dash too. Congratulations on the OMG!

I love the border you've chosen and ingenious way of turning the corner - well done.

Thank you. I can't take the credit for that triangle corner, I saw another quilt that was done this way! It gave me the prod I needed to get going on the squares.

I had been worrying about the corners before I ever started the quilt. I saw another quilt with the triangle corners and snatched it up. What a relief!

Blue and white is always a lovely combination.

Very pretty. I like how the diamonds don't go all the way to the corners!

There is a good reason for that, the math was too challenging and I took the easy way out! I actually like it better this way too.
